Kramerbooks & Afterwords CaféOpened in 1976, Kramer’s was the first bookstore/cafe in Washington, maybe in this country, and has launched countless romances. It’s jammed, often noisy, stages live music Wednesday through Saturday evenings, and is open all night weekends. Paperback fiction takes up most of its inventory, but the store carries a little of everything.
